Acceptance
These Terms of Use govern your use of the Velunor website and games published by Velunor LLC ("Velunor," "we," "us," or "our"). By using them, you agree to these terms and any applicable Apple App Store terms. If you do not agree, do not use the website or games.
Games and license
Velunor grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use its games for personal, non-commercial entertainment on compatible devices, subject to the App Store terms. You may not copy, resell, redistribute, reverse engineer, modify, exploit, automate, cheat, bypass access controls, or use the games unlawfully except where applicable law expressly permits otherwise.
Purchases
Prices, taxes, billing, refunds, and payment methods are administered by Apple. Shadow Tales offers Pip's Homecoming as an optional one-time, non-consumable in-app purchase that unlocks all three Hidden Paths and removes advertising. It is not a subscription. Purchase availability, local price, and App Store rules may vary by country or region. Eligible purchases may be restored through the game's Restore Purchase function using the same App Store account.
Advertising
The free version of Shadow Tales may show occasional interstitial ads after completed stories and optional rewarded ads in the Workshop. Ads do not interrupt an active puzzle. Denying Apple's tracking permission does not remove ads; it limits permitted personalization and tracking. See the Shadow Tales Privacy Policy for details.
Player conduct and shared content
You may use operating-system sharing features made available by a game. You are responsible for the destination you choose and for ensuring that anything you share is lawful and does not infringe another person's rights. Do not use our games, website, or support channels to distribute harmful content, attempt unauthorized access, interfere with services, impersonate others, or abuse staff or other users.
Intellectual property
Velunor and its licensors own the games, website, names, logos, artwork, characters, stories, music, code, interface designs, and related materials, excluding third-party materials used under license. These terms do not transfer ownership to you. Personal screenshots or gameplay clips may be shared for ordinary non-commercial discussion, commentary, reviews, and fan enjoyment, subject to applicable law and platform rules.
Availability and product limitations
Games may require a compatible device, operating-system version, internet connection for store or advertising functions, and continued availability of third-party platform services. Shadow Tales game progress is stored locally in the current release; deleting the game may remove that progress unless restored through a device backup. We may improve, update, rebalance, suspend, or discontinue features where reasonably necessary, subject to applicable consumer law.
Pre-release descriptions, screenshots, availability statements, and development plans are informational and may change before launch. We do not promise a particular release date for an announced or in-development game unless expressly stated otherwise.
Disclaimers and liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the website and games are provided "as is" and "as available." Velunor does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Velunor is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or liabilities that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Termination
Your license ends if you materially violate these terms. You may stop using a game at any time by deleting it. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination—including intellectual-property, disclaimer, and liability provisions—will survive.
Changes and governing law
We may update these terms as our games, services, or legal obligations change. The effective date above identifies the current version. These terms are governed by applicable United States law and the law of the state in which Velunor LLC is organized, without overriding mandatory consumer protections that apply where you live.
