Overview
Velunor LLC ("Velunor," "we," "us," or "our") develops productivity applications for Apple platforms. This policy describes the current release candidates of Filestead and Storalyse and this website. Our applications are designed around local processing and do not require a Velunor account.
This website
This is a static informational website. Velunor does not place advertising cookies, analytics cookies, or cross-site tracking technologies on it. Our hosting and network provider, Cloudflare, may process standard technical request data such as IP address, user agent, requested URL, timestamps, and security signals to deliver and protect the site under its own applicable terms.
If you email us, we receive the address, message, and attachments you choose to send. We use them to respond, provide support, maintain business records, and protect against abuse. We retain correspondence only as reasonably needed for those purposes and applicable legal obligations.
Filestead
Local document library
Filestead stores imported documents, thumbnails, categories, notes, extracted text, and related metadata in the application's local container by default. Supported PDF and image text extraction is performed on device. Filestead does not upload this library to a Velunor-operated server.
Permissions
Camera and Photos access are used only when you choose to scan, photograph, or import a document. Notification permission is used only for reminders you request. Face ID, Touch ID where available, or device passcode authentication is handled by Apple's Local Authentication framework; Velunor does not receive your biometric data.
Backups and sync
If you create a Filestead backup, the archive is encrypted using the password you provide and is stored or shared where you choose. Velunor does not receive the archive or password and cannot recover a forgotten backup password.
If you explicitly enable iCloud sync, Filestead encrypts document content and syncs it through Apple's CloudKit service associated with your Apple account. Velunor does not operate a separate document-sync backend. Apple's handling of iCloud data is governed by Apple's terms and privacy policy. You can leave sync disabled and use Filestead locally.
Purchases
App Store purchases are processed by Apple. Filestead receives transaction and entitlement status needed to provide purchased functionality but does not receive your full payment-card information.
Storalyse
Photo library access and processing
Storalyse uses Photos access to list videos, read relevant media metadata, generate previews, estimate storage use, create compressed copies, and request deletion of originals only after an explicit user action. It supports limited Photos access. Scanning and compression happen on the device; Storalyse does not upload your photo or video library to Velunor or third parties.
Local state
Scan summaries, analysis cache, selection state, and the latest cleanup report may be stored in Storalyse's local application container to improve continuity. This information is not transmitted to Velunor in the current release.
Deletion and Recently Deleted
Deletion uses Apple's Photos framework and requires system confirmation. Deleted media moves to the Photos Recently Deleted album and may continue consuming device or iCloud storage until it is permanently removed by you or automatically removed by Photos.
Analytics, advertising, and external services
The current releases do not include third-party advertising SDKs, cross-app tracking, or Velunor analytics. They do not collect advertising identifiers. Apple may independently process App Store, purchase, crash, and platform diagnostic information according to your device settings and Apple's privacy policy.
Data sale and disclosure
Velunor does not sell personal information. We may disclose information you send us if required by law, to protect legal rights and security, or to service providers that process business correspondence on our behalf under appropriate obligations.
Children
Our products are general productivity tools and are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through the applications.
Your choices and rights
You can change application permissions in iOS Settings, delete local application data by deleting the app, manage iCloud data through your Apple account, and contact us regarding correspondence you have sent. Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have additional rights to access, correct, or delete personal information we hold.
Changes
We may update this policy as products evolve or legal requirements change. The effective date above identifies the current version. Material changes will be posted on this page.
