Please include your iPhone or iPad model, iOS or iPadOS version, Shadow Tales version, selected language, the story or screen involved, and a short description of the issue. A screenshot is useful when appropriate.

A shadow piece will not align

Place the object between the lantern and screen, then drag and rotate it while watching the silhouette. Match the glowing guide rather than the object's visible shape. A correct piece snaps gently into place. The How to Play panel can be reopened from the puzzle controls.

Progress or settings did not persist

Finish the current action, return to the map, and close the app normally. Confirm that the device has available storage. Progress is kept locally, so deleting the app also removes its local game state unless it is restored through a device backup.

The language is not what I expected

By default, Shadow Tales follows the device language. It supports English, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Spanish, Japanese, French, and German; other system languages fall back to English. You can choose a supported language in the game's Settings screen.

Sharing does not open or complete

Sharing is optional. Confirm that at least one compatible share destination is available on the device, then try again. Cancelling does not affect your existing score. You can complete every story without sharing.

Audio is silent

Check Music and Sound Effects in the game's Settings screen, then verify the device volume and Silent Mode. If audio still does not play, fully close and reopen the app before contacting support.

Why am I seeing ads?

All fifteen main stories can be played without a purchase. The free experience uses occasional ads after completed stories and optional rewarded ads in the Workshop; ads do not interrupt an active puzzle. The one-time Pip's Homecoming purchase removes advertising.

Advertising privacy and Apple's permission

Before initializing ads, the game displays a neutral explanation with one Continue button that opens Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt. Personalized advertising signals are enabled only when Apple reports that permission is authorized. If you decline, or if permission is restricted or undetermined, you may still see less-personalized ads, but the choice does not affect access to gameplay or stories. You can review this information in the game and manage tracking permission in iOS or iPadOS Settings.

What does Pip's Homecoming include?

Pip's Homecoming is a one-time, non-consumable purchase, not a subscription. It permanently unlocks all three Hidden Paths—nine additional story games—and removes advertising. The price shown in the game is supplied by the App Store and may vary by country or region.

Restore a purchase

Open Settings and select Restore, or open a Hidden Path purchase screen and choose Restore Purchase. Use the same App Store account that made the original purchase. If restoration does not finish, confirm the device is online, restart the app, and try again before contacting support.

Privacy and safety

Shadow Tales requires no Velunor account and keeps game progress locally. It includes Unity LevelPlay and Unity Ads for advertising. A neutral explanation appears before Apple's tracking prompt, and personalized advertising signals are enabled only when Apple reports that permission is authorized.
